In Deutsch etwas frei übersetzt: “Lasst euch nicht mehr vom 3D Betrug hinters Licht führen.”

Wieder einmal ein interessanter Artikel zum Thema 3D, dieses Mal auf techrepublic.com. Der Film fasst die Kritikpunkte zu 3D zusammen, bringt es aber bereits in der ‘Überschrift auf den Punkt: 3D ist eine Betrügerei, mit der versucht wird, den Leuten mehr Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Hier zwei schöne Zitate aus dem Artikel von Jason Hiner:

[…] adding the current 3D effects to a movie or video of any kind subtracts from the picture. It muddies the colors and unsharpens the images, and it has to slow down the action shots because it makes people sick if things go too fast in 3D.

I’ll admit that when I first saw Avatar in the theaters I was impressed at how well it wove in the 3D effects. But, my admiration wore off once I saw it on Blu-ray on a 240Hz LED TV and quickly realized that all of the colors and action shots suddenly came to life and really popped off the screen. That’s when it fully dawned on me what a horrible scam 3D really is. They are making us pay more money for a gimmicky, inferior experience.

Der Hauptkritikpunkt für mich ist die schlechtere Bildqualität von 3D. Ein 3D-Bild ist verschwommener und dunkler als ein normales 2D-Bild. Das Beispiel mit AVATAR kann ich bestätigen. Ich sah den Film im Kino in 3D und dann später auf Blue-Ray. Von der Blue-Ray-Version war ich begeistert, weil das 2D-Bild wahrhaftig tausendmal besser war als das Kino-3D-Bild. Es ist eine Schande, dass trotz dieser Tatsache so viele Zuschauer wie Lemminge dem 3D-Zug hinterrennen. Um es mit Hiner zu sagen: “… reject 3D and stop being cheated!”
