Language, Region Packs and Spellchecker Packs for Netscape

Language Packs for Netscape 7.2 can be found here.

To install any of the following languages click on Install (Javascript and Software Installation must be enabled in the preferences). Depending on your internet connection, it may take a few seconds for the installation to start (please press the install link only once).

To use the new language: Edit --> Preferences --> Appearance --> Languages/Content and then restart Netscape.
Netscape 7.1
 So far (14.07.2003), Netscape only released the en-US and japanese language versions for Netscape 7.1. The following Netscape 7.1 language packs are based on Mozilla 1.4 versions and are therefore not officially supported by Netscape.
Known issues:
Netscape Instant Messenger (AIM/ICQ) and the Help system have not been translated, some menu items in "Help" will still show the original US-english items (due to the fact that I do not speak most of the languages found below I am unable to correct this, and, what's more, I can't translate Netscape Help all by myself *g*).

Do not install plain vanilla Mozilla language in Netscape! If you are lucky, nothing will happen, but you could also easily destroy your Netscape installation.

Language Pack:
A language pack turns the UI including the help files into another language.

Region Pack:
The region pack changes the default content, for example the default homepage or search engine.
